Greetings All.

Well, just like many of my fellow Americans, I decided that I'm just too chunky of a monkey and need to lose weight. This year, like every year my new years resolution is to lose weight. So, I've decided to start a blog, chronicling my journey. Yippie!

The goals? To lose 50 to 60 pounds (or be able fit into a size 6 or 8) in 8 months. Right now, I'm 5'4" and weigh 193 and I'm a size 18. Ugh. I'm a fat ass, but I hope to fix that. Ideally, I'd like to fit into something sexy for a trip to Vegas this summer. We'll see how it goes.

The plan? eat about 1500 calories a day. This should allow for losing one pound a week.

Of course, there are exercise goals as well. To start, I plan on walking my dogs everyday for 30 minutes.

45 minutes on the recumbent bike 5-6 days a week
weight lifting 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week.
rock climbing 2 times a week
hiking or biking 1 hour once a week
ddr and/or exercise video games when there's time.

30 minutes walking the dog burns 130 calories
45 minutes of biking burns about 450 calories
rock climbing burns about 400 calories in 30 minutes
weight lifting burns about 130 calories in 30 minutes
hiking burns about 610 in an hour.

I want to be active for at least 90 minutes oer day.
Hopefully I can burn 3500 calories in the week to burn another pound.

Eventually, there will be photos post, but no one should have to see what I look like yet. I will post at least once a week, hopefully more.
